More power and run-time, but lighter in weight
Two new batteries have joined Milwaukee’s M18 Forge product line: the M18 Forge 8.0 Ah and 12.0 Ah batteries. These lithium-ion batteries are designed to enhance performance in demanding applications. The 12.0 Ah version delivers 50% more power compared to the existing M18 High Output 12.0 Ah battery, while the 8.0 Ah model provides similar power but is 20% smaller and 30% lighter. Both batteries feature high-
speed cooling technology, enabling a full charge in
approximately 45 minutes when used with the M18 Dual Bay Super Charger. They are constructed with resistant housing for increased protection against oils, greases, and solvents, along with a patented ingress
coating to enhance cooling effi ciency. The M18 Forge batteries are said to have the longest life and most recharge cycles compared to traditional RedLithium
batteries and are fully compatible with over 290 M18 solutions. ◼

Martindale Electric has introduced the HPAT600/2 Portable Appliance Tester, designed to simplify the process of Portable Appliance Testing (PAT). With 25% of reportable electrical accidents involving portable devices, this tester addresses the critical need for ensuring electrical safety. The HPAT600/2 features a one-button test selection and a backlit
display for user-friendly operation. A single press initiates tests for Class I, Class II or lead testing, requiring no further interaction unless a fault is detected. It performs a rapid 500V insulation test and allows for switching between 250V and 500V test voltages. Equipped with rechargeable batteries and both mains and car chargers,
the lightweight design ensures portability for testing in various locations. The display provides clear PASS/FAIL indicators, shows test values, and stores data for up to 200 appliances for easy on-site documentation. The tester comes with an extension lead adaptor, earth bond probe, chargers, and a sturdy carry case, with optional leads available for 110V and three- phase equipment testing. ◼
