Remote system monitoring

Adding more benefi ts to its connected controls off ering, Glow-worm has launched MiGo Xpert. Using the MiGo Xpert mobile app, installers can now remotely monitor their customers’ heating systems, review detailed performance data, fault code history and the chance to off er diagnostic insights to customers. For a system to be added to MiGo Xpert, a Glow-worm boiler must be installed with the

MiGo Link internet gateway together with one of the compatible controls, MiSet, MiGo Select or Climastat Select. Installers will also need an active Glow-worm Club Energy account, which can be created using the link found on the MiGo Xpert website, or directly on the Glow-worm Club Energy website or app. Key benefi ts include immediate notifi cation of any fault on a customer’s appliance,

diagnostic insights, system pressure monitoring and improved fi rst-time fi x rates. Mark Wilkins, technology & solutions portfolio director, comments: “Being able to go

over and above can make such a diff erence to customer service and keep customers coming back. Remote access that can help keep a customer’s heating system running smoothly, spot issues before they become a problem, and help ensure installers have the right products on the van when something does need fi xing is a key part of this.” ◼ phamnews.co.uk/625/56

Descaler for heat exchangers

Extending its range of central heating additives, Wiseman Industries has added the Everclens Heat Exchanger Descaler which is said to be capable of dissolving limescale on a heat exchanger in just 30 minutes, quickly restoring performance and improving effi ciency levels. Scale deposits, caused by mineral

build-up, can severely impact the effi ciency of heat exchangers and plumbing systems. Over time, these deposits restrict water fl ow, reduce heat transfer, and increase energy consumption. Left untreated, they can lead to clogs, system failures, and costly repairs. Regular descaling not only restores effi ciency but also extends the lifespan of equipment, ensuring reliable performance.

CEO Harvey Wiseman says: “It builds on

over 30 years of our laboratory research of water treatment additives. Heat Exchanger Descaler with no hazardous mineral acids, completes the wide range of treatments. It ensures systems operate at maximum effi ciency by preventing overheating, thereby extending the system’s lifespan.” ◼ phamnews.co.uk/625/57
