Highlighting its ongoing sustainability drive, MKM Building Supplies (MKM) has opened its fi rst all-electric branch in Cheltenham which features a roof-mounted solar PV array, airsource heat pump, MVHR, movement-controlled LED lighting and intelligent energy management systems. Some 42% of the total annual electricity consumption will be provided by the PV system, and the branch also deploys electric forklift trucks, EV charging points and an electric delivery vehicle.

Partners in promoting heat pumps
