Ashton Bentley introduces USB-C- focused X-Range for meeting room AV


ASHTON BENTLEY, part of Kramer’s AV portfolio, has launched the X-Range, a modular set of USB-C-based AV connectivity kits designed to simplify meeting room setups and standardise hybrid collaboration across workspaces. The X-Range supports environments from small meeting rooms to lecture theatres, offering a single USB-C connection for charging, video, audio, USB, and networking. The goal is to reduce complexity and improve consistency in bring-your-own-device (BYOD) scenarios. The kits are compatible with Mac and Windows systems without


requiring drivers or additional software. Installation is supported by web-based configuration and out-of-the-box functionality. X-Range products include: • BX Kit – USB-C breakout hub with 100W charging, 4K60 video, USB/data, and gigabit networking


• VX Kit – USB-C and HDMI inputs with automatic source switching, suitable for Microsoft Teams Room setups • TX2/DX2 Kit – Two-box room system replacing traditional AV racks, with smart USB switching and web-based control • UX Smart Switch – USB switching between room PCs and laptops, designed for BYOD use. Accessories such as retractors, tableboxes, and OLED touch panels are available to support installation and usability.


Netgear unveils WiFi 7 5G


mobile router NETGEAR has released the Nighthawk M7 Pro mobile router (MR7450), a portable device that combines 5G and WiFi 7 to support remote work, mobile teams, and temporary business setups. It offers fast internet speeds, built-in security, and can connect up to 64 devices within a 1,000 square foot area. The router works in over 125 countries and runs for up to 13 hours on battery. Businesses can use the M7 Pro as their main internet connection or as a backup when wired service isn’t available. It’s designed for job sites, pop-up shops, events, and travel, and can also serve as a secure option for home offices or shared workspaces. Teams can stay connected without relying on public WiFi or phone tethering. The router works with Netgear Insight Pro, which helps IT teams set up devices, monitor performance, and manage networks remotely. It shows real-time data like signal strength, battery level, and usage, making it easier to support teams in different locations. Security features include WPA3 encryption, VPN


passthrough, and controls through the Nighthawk app. The device is unlocked, so users can choose their own SIM card, whether local or international. It supports multiple WiFi bands and includes a touchscreen for easy monitoring.


Express Mount from Vision AV joins Logitech Collaboration Programme


VISION AUDIO VISUAL (VISION AV), a TD Synnex business, has revealed that its Express mount has been approved for use within the Logitech Collaboration Programme (LCP). The mount is now recognised as compatible with Logitech’s Microsoft Teams Room hardware, including Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, and MeetUp. According to Vision, the Express Mount is designed to support fast installation for desktop video conferencing setups. It accommodates 43”–65” displays and offers full VESA compatibility (200×200 to 600×400). Features include adjustable positioning, secure mounting, and integrated cable management. Stuart Lockhart, Managing Director at Vision, said: “We designed the Express Mount to remove friction from the install process, no faff, no fiddling, just fast and reliable hardware that
