Sean Hastings Sean Hastings, Ribble Cycles


Ribble has announced the appointment of Sean Hastings as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective July 1, 2024. Hastings is a seasoned executive with a wealth of experience in leading transformational change and growth across the consumer sector. Following the announcement, Hastings said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Ribble, a business with such deep roots in cycling. I’m looking forward to working with the team, building on the great product offer and taking the brand on the next stage of its growth journey.” This appointment follows Ribble


strengthening the board last year with the appointment of Becks DeNiro as chair of Ribble. DeNiro has deep experience in product-led and brand driven organisations from her time as CEO at Pure Electric and MD of Dyson UK. Former CEO Andy Smallwood will transition to a senior adviser role, ensuring continuity and strategic support for Ribble. 


David Hemming David Hemming, Quin


Quin, the USA-headquartered business which builds technology that brings intelligent, connected, safety to helmet users, has announced the appointment of David Hemming as head of sales. Hemming joins at an exciting time


for Quin. A recent investment by MIPS has given heavyweight backing to Quin’s patented sensor technology and emergency response systems, which the business sees as the future of optimised helmet safety.


A streamlined strategy focuses on the


integration of this tech into key partner brand helmet ranges, meaning that the technology will soon be widely available to all helmet users. Hemming takes with him a wealth of


strategic domestic and international sales experience across the sporting goods sector and a passion for technological innovation. He will be responsible for shaping


strategy and building a team focused on building industry relationships to grow consumer access to the multiple benefits of Quin technologies. 

VivaCity, the transport technology firm, has announced Anna Keren as its new chief technology officer. Keren joins VivaCity from Thirdfort,


where she was chief technology and product officer. Her previous experience includes


VP of technology at ComplyAdvantage and director of engineering at Babylon Health. Following the announcement,


Keren said: “VivaCity is spearheading innovation within the transport technology sector, and has an unwavering commitment to improving the sustainability and efficiency of roads and cities.


“The company is on an incredibly


exciting journey, and I look forward to being part of its next chapter.” VivaCity’s co-founder and previous


chief technology officer, Yang Lu, is transitioning to technical founder and will be focusing on pure technology. 
