The first public UK outing of Tekken 8 was the big draw of Insomnia number 71, which this year was held over the first weekend after the kids were back to school, rather than over the more traditional August bank holiday. Also headlining were new and imminent games from Team17 and Thunderful.


Among the humans to attract an audience were notable YouTubers, voiceover stars from the likes of Final Fantasy XVI, Baldur’s Gate 3 and League of Legends, as well as a live D&D experience from Session Zero.


It was also a record-breaking Insomnia, with popular streamer Kevin Chapman playing Football Manager for more than 50 hours straight and earning himself a world record. History in the making, right there.
