Just some of the many roles open at Rocksteady
I’M ONE of the gameplay leads here at Rocksteady, responsible for bringing our characters to life through gameplay. My role comprises hands on design and programming as well as direction setting, and people and project management – which guarantees there’s something different every day! I have the privilege of collaborating
with a wonderful team of talented people from all over the world, who work on-site in our beautiful London studio, remote across the world, or a hybrid mix of both. It’s really these people that make Rocksteady such a great place to be. It’s fantastic to work with so many people from different backgrounds, all united by our passion for making innovative, world class video games. I enjoy getting involved with the
Rocksteady group for women and non-binary people, and the LGBTQ+ group – and many other similar groups and social groups exist too. Outside of my day job I’m a director for Out Making Games, an industry non-profit for LGBTQ+ professionals, and I was really happy to see the enthusiasm from Rocksteady folk in collaborating on hosting the OMG Spring Social in the Rocksteady studio.
THIS YEAR will be a very exciting time for us here at Rocksteady. Our next game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, launches on 26th May. I’m incredibly proud of the amazing work that the team here has put in to get us to where we are. Rocksteady is built on a foundation of
quality that comes from people’s effort and skill. The feeling of a committed team, working together and making great games. I especially love the social fabric that thrives here and it’s this type of energy that helps nurture the culture here at Rocksteady. Speaking of things to be proud of,
we’ve been listed in several employer industry awards recently, including the
Gamesindustry.biz Best Places to Work, and being ranked among the Top 25 Tech Companies in London. Those awards are only part of the
story though. It’s much more important to me as a Studio Director that our people feel genuinely happy, excited and inspired, and that I’m able to support them to make great games and that we share in each other’s success.
