acclaimed tactical approach and explore the narrative-rich worlds of Warhammer 40,000. Elite Dangerous continues to deliver content for players over a

decade after it first launched. Most recently, the Operations free update added multi-stage repeatable missions, while exciting new ships such as the Nomad highlight how we continue to push the boundaries on one of Frontier’s flagship titles.

“We invest in our players, reward their dedication and passion by providing new content which enhances their experiences, but equally important is our investment in our teams.”

MB: You recently won the Best Studio Award at Develop:Star Awards. What does that mean to the company and what is it about Frontier that you think led to that win? JC: It means a lot to us as a studio - although we’ve been around for over 30 years, we still know how to celebrate! The award was perfectly timed around our summer celebration for the team, so bringing the entire studio together following the success was a rewarding moment.

Frontier is an iconic British studio. We invest in our players, reward

their dedication and passion by providing new content which enhances their experiences, but equally important is our investment in our teams. They make each of our games possible with their talent and dedication to the craft.

MB: What can we get excited about from Frontier in the next couple of years? DL: We keep mentioning it (and how could we not!) but we are most looking forward to players experiencing Planet Zoo 2 when it launches on October 13. Right now we’re geared up for the run up to launch, having just come from a wonderful collaborative event at Chester Zoo, where players, creators and press had the opportunity to play the game for the first time. This was centered around a four- hour livestream which featured new gameplay and talks from our development team and respected zoo professionals, streamed globally to over 90,000 viewers and reaching key audiences in the US, Europe and beyond.

JC: Looking beyond that, we have a very exciting development roadmap which our teams are working towards, but central to it all is an unwavering commitment to creating and nurturing endlessly replayable CMS experiences with players at their heart. Frontier has over three decades of experience in the games industry

and has attracted incredible talent and expertise which spans across the entire business. We’re building a stronger Frontier for the future, together as a studio.
