Matt Broughton spoke to Frontier’s CEO, Jo Cooke, and CMO, Dan Lazarides, about the year so far, and what’s still to come

H

ow has 2026 been for Frontier? JC: It has been an incredibly exciting year for us so far. As a studio, we’ve stayed true to our strategy of Creative

Management Simulation games but really emphasised putting players at the centre of everything we do, putting a strong focus on nurturing our titles and franchises. This has seen new players enjoying our existing titles, and regular players returning to new content in Jurassic World Evolution 3 and Planet Coaster 2 but also engaging

with the announcement and ongoing campaign for the hotly anticipated Planet Zoo 2. Most recently, we announced a collaboration with Disney on an

entirely new game, allowing us to connect our passionate community of players with one of the world’s most beloved brands. We can’t say any more about that one for the moment, so watch this space! DL: The reception to our announcement for Planet Zoo 2 has been a definite highlight this year. Seeing the enthusiasm for the reveal of aquariums and aviaries – an innovation for the franchise - and reacting to each new animal model that we’ve been revealing through the course of our campaign, has been a joy. Our rich player communities continue to celebrate creativity and collaboration - a value that forms a large part of our identity as a studio, and that is truly at the heart of Planet Zoo 2. The best of 2026 is yet to come, with the game launch fast approaching on 13th October.

MB: What has shaped the last few years for you? JC: Our biggest focus in recent years has been shaping our Creative Management
