has. As players, we rediscover that connection and feel the video game as a part of our daily life and our everyday experience. The museum is described as “immersive” and
“interactive.” What technology are you using to create these experiences, and what role do digital installations play in this? First of all, we have various gaming systems, each
offering a different type of engagement. As we all know, there are the more traditional systems, and then there are virtual reality headsets, which provide an immersive gaming experience that, while still somewhat pioneering, is incredibly fascinating. We’ve only just begun to explore the potential of virtual reality in the world of video games. Although there have been some setbacks, this remains a very exciting frontier. In addition, at GAMMDOME, we use technology
that allows us to centralise all the audiovisual content of the museum, so it can be managed in a way that
offers an engaging and dynamic experience for our visitors. This involves a real-time transformation of the museum before their eyes, with special moments that could be musical, artistic, synesthetic experiences, and temporary exhibitions that dynamically replace traditional content. Then, when necessary, these content elements give way to the “core” aspects of the museum. Experiences like this not only create a great impact on visitors, but they also represent a system that will be increasingly utilized and refined as we at GAMM discover new ways to use these technologies and innovative solutions integrated into our museum. Therefore, GAMM will initially feature a launch
lineup of titles, but it will grow and evolve over time, as we, too, learn to use the technologies at our disposal more effectively. This is important because it allows the museum to grow, improve, and offer new opportunities for excitement for visitors, who will always have more reasons to come back.
