Bayne’s The Family Bakers launch mobile app
Bayne’s The Family Bakers has launched its first-ever mobile app, marking a major milestone in the bakery’s 70th anniversary year. The app is a key part of Bayne’s ongoing innovation and growth strategy, designed to make the customer experience more convenient across Scotland. The app includes a shop finder to help locate
the nearest store, a digital loyalty scheme offering a free hot drink or treat after six purchases, and a birthday reward. Customers can also use a referral feature to receive a free drink or treat after their first order. John Bayne, Joint Managing Director

Cornish Bakery delivers record-breaking summer of trading
Cornish Bakery has reported a record-breaking summer, achieving 24% total sales growth year-on-year and 8% like-for-like growth in August, despite a wider decline in retail spend reported by the CBI. The business also saw its biggest-ever week of sales over the August Bank Holiday, with several individual bakeries breaking records. New openings in Hereford and
Woodbridge, plus the expanded York Coney Street bakery and refurbished York Colliergate, have exceeded expectations, attracting long queues and strong sales. Customer feedback has been equally positive, with the brand’s Net Promoter Score rising to 72% across Google and TripAdvisor reviews. Cornish Bakery continues its
growth trajectory with several new bakeries due to open this Autumn and five more sites in advanced negotiations for early 2026.
