HARIBO UK and The Together Project launch new partnership
HARIBO UK has partnered with The Together Project to combat loneliness in West Yorkshire through Songs & Smiles, a programme bringing music and play to local care homes. Announced on the UN International Day of Happiness (March 20), this initiative fosters friendships between older people, parents, and young children, reducing social isolation. Previous Songs & Smiles sessions nationwide have shown a 100% joy rate among care home residents and helped 73% of parents feel less lonely. In West Yorkshire, where 8.3% of adults experience loneliness—above the national average—this expansion is especially meaningful. HARIBO UK colleagues can nominate care homes they have personal connections with to participate. The partnership will help the Together Project more than double its reach in 2025, with 2,200+ sessions and six groups in West Yorkshire.
