News BSH enjoys successful kbb Show with several product launches


Venting hobs are an increasingly popular category of products with consumers and BSH Home Appliances unveiled various new models across the NEFF, Bosch and Siemens brands at the kbb Birmingham 2020 Show. Firstly, new from NEFF are the 80cm- wide N 90 T58TL6EN2 and 70cm-wide N 70 T47TD7BN2 venting hobs – both with a re-designed air inlet. It is slimmed down, streamlined and sits fully flush to the surface, creating an extended usable area of induction hob.


For the N 90 T58TL6EN2 Flex Induction hob it is possible to monitor via the Home Connect app. This will include push notifications, Climate Control and a Frying Sensor to stop food burning. Secondly, Bosch also introduced two new venting hobs at kbb (launching in April and May), a 70cm-wide model that features DirectSelect and CombiZone. The flagship Serie 8 PXX875D67E 80cm-wide venting induction hob combines induction and ventilation technology and also offers Home Connect smart connectivity. New ranges of wine cabinets Elsewhere, all three brands also launched new models of wine cabinets. Firstly, to the NEFF wine cabinet


offering, two new models are added (launching in the Autumn). There is a 30cm-wide undercounter model with space for 21 bottles; it has bamboo shelves and a stainless steel bar handle. A larger 60cm-wide cabinet has a 43-bottle capacity. Two temperature zones can be independently set.


Also adding to its wine cabinet line-up, Bosch unveiled two new built-under and two new freestanding cabinets, all with oak shelves and launching in the autumn. For true wine lovers, the Serie 6 KWK36A TGAG cabinet stands 185cm high and holds a maximum of 199 bottles; it also features a push-to-open door.


Lastly, Siemens displayed its full range of new built-under and freestanding wine cabinets as well as an all-new iQ700 FrenchDoor fridge-freezer. Clad in striking black glass, it has a two-drawer freezer


(67 litres) and full-width 279-litre fridge compartment. The central hyperFresh compartment holds fruit, vegetables, meat and fish in an area of controlled humidity to keep it fresher for longer.


CDA launches new oven collection and showcases Which? winner at kbb Show


CDA unveiled a new collection of ovens and showcased a range of other products at this year’s show. Features within the range include new simple to use touch screen controls, sleek aesthetics, side lighting for better cavity illumination, full steam functionality, rapid preheating and up to 77 litre capacity. “No scrolling, no complicated menus, just three-touch simplicity,” the manufacturer said. Within the range is the SL670 steam oven, the SL500 rotary pyrolytic oven, and three replacement models – the SL570 Touch Control pyrolytic oven, the SL400 multifunction oven, and the SL300 multifunction oven.

CDA also showcased its remote control Star ceiling hood and a selection of wine coolers, including its top selling FWC304SS, which has been named as a Which? Best Buy Wine Cooler. According to CDA, the Which? test looked at all aspects of performance including temperature stability, humidity level, energy use and ease of operation. “This wine cooler does a brilliant job of getting the bottles inside down to the set temperature” the report said. “Recognition by Which? is good news for our


retailers and for consumers,” said Consumer Marketing Manager, Carrie Bell. “As the UK market leader in wine coolers we work very hard to ensure our products are the best they can be.”
