Weather and wellness stunt ISE attendance growth
Here, Futuresource Consulting provides a snapshot of some of the key product areas and talking points from Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2020, covering the almost 1,300 exhibitors and numerous presentations throughout the show.
F uturesource Consulting fielded a team of 15
analysts on the ground at this year’s ISE to capture the display, education, audio and collaborative technology highlights from this year. For the final time after more than a 15-year run, the Amsterdam RAI hosted the world’s largest AV trade show. The event was somewhat overshadowed by the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, resulting in the withdrawal of several exhibitors, most notable
of which was LG Electronics, and attendees. Furthermore, the number of those attending the show was also affected by Storm Ciara causing significant travel disruption that resulted in some postponements and cancellations to ISE travel plans. ISE’s co-owners, AVIXA and CEDIA, expanded upon their programmes of professional development, training sessions and presentations across the event. In 2021, ISE will relocate to the Fira Gran Via in
Barcelona, to accommodate growing attendance figures that had been witnessed up until the 2019 show. This year saw the lowest show attendance since ISE 2014 due to the effects of coronavirus and Storm Ciara, it is reported.
