We work closely with Samsung on this


sponsorship and we set up a lounge area with sofas and TVs to replicate what we offer in our store; by promoting Samsung as well that’s quite a draw for people as they like to see their latest tech. We also have branding on the main event


stage at the Festival, which is quite close to our store, and that gets seen by a lot of people over the weekend. It really is a huge event for our town and for a


business of our size it would be silly not to be involved. All our staff are on hand to interact with visitors, as you never know who could be a potential customer!

As a business we really enjoy being part of the local community and being a hub in the centre of the town. Since 2014 we have sponsored and supported


the Wimborne Minster Folk Festival. This is an annual event attracting nearly 100,000 people over three days, so it’s a great way to promote our business and get our name in front of so many people. It’s all about exposure and that brand recognition.

to run another cooking demonstration day. But this is conjunction with a local cookshop and Le Creuset. We are using our NEFF kitchen in store to invite customers to take part and it’s a perfect example of two local businesses working together. Aside from this, we also do really well


distributing flyers and leaflets; before COVID we were doing this regularly and it was bringing in really good business. In fact we have just released two new leaflets around the area – one aimed at home appliances (pictured left) and another towards our new home cinema. I wanted to include case study examples in the leaflet so people could really see what we have to offer. We still do print advertising as well because there


is a definite appetite for our customers to flick through a local newspaper or magazine. We advertise in Dorset Life Magazine – a big, glossy lifestyle magazine – as well as our local town newspaper.
