41 Bristol Bears rugby sponsorship

We always run a selection of different offline activities; for example, currently we are placing magazine adverts in two local publications and from May we will be running a campaign in Metro South West as well as a direct mail campaign, plus a bus advert! We also have an ongoing sponsorship with the

Bristol Bears rugby team; we are the shorts sponsor but will be upgrading to the shirts sponsor for 2023. We used to run a lot of events in our old store

(Nailsea Electrical) but have found that having our new destination store and our impressive shop front we have concentrated on attracting the significant amount of passing traffic. Last year, we filled the front of the store with

metal poppies for Remembrance Day and sold them to raise money for The Royal British Legion. We have more themed activities planned for this year and we are also considering a local radio advert campaign to complement the outdoor and print advertising. We have found local print advertising to be

particularly effective in the area so have dedicated to continuing this long-term; we have also had good results with direct mail campaigns. Outdoor advertising is relatively new for us, but we had some success with billboard advertising last year so we look forward to investigating this again throughout the local area.

Local links

We have a lot of heritage in Bristol so as well as the commercial reasons for advertising locally we also want to keep our local ties and feel like we are contributing to the local infrastructure, industry and community.

It’s been a time of huge change within the

business, so more recently we have pivoted the way we advertise locally as our business offering has changed dramatically... not to mention the fact that our store has changed, so it’s been crucial to let people know about this!

We do advertise in a wider local area than just

Bristol now as we are more of a destination store and offer delivery to a growing region. We have shifted our advertising to equally advertise our online and instore offerings as we have hugely improved our website in the past year also.
