He continues: “The worse thing about having a system which isn’t integrated is that the products shown on your website, can be out of date models or no longer available etc. This isn’t a great journey for the consumer. When prices change on products via price feeds from Euronics, our website now automatically changes straight way, which takes away the task of a member of staff trying to find the time to carry out this task.
“Any price changes that we make ourselves
in store, are again updated on our website automatically. “What we were finding with a non integrated system, was that the prices were quite often incorrect and out of date, which in turn would either lose us customers as we were showing a higher price than what we should of been,
nowadays with other online retailers who will deliver in your area, so if that buy button isn’t on your website, they are likely to simply push that buy button somewhere else. “If they are happy with that other online
retailer, then the question is..... Would they come back to you again or would they stick with them? It’s the chance that we didn’t want to take.”
