Keep calm and turn on the fan
Consumers are increasingly looking for air treatment appliances which can keep them blissfully cool in the hotter months ahead. Will McGill investigates the latest innovations in the sector.

t is no secret that the warmer months are on their way, and these months are increasingly becoming hotter and
hotter. According to the BBC, 2023 was the second warmest year on record – with 2022 being the record holder. So, now is the time to start checking out the market and to put your orders in so you have enough stock to meet your consumers’ demand.
Electrolux offers its AEG Comfort 6000 Portable Air Conditioner, its AEG Pure 5000 Connected Air Purifier and its AX9 Connected Air Purifier. Ian Wareham, Head of Product Line Care - UK/IE at Electrolux Group, comments: “Within our AEG brand, we provide a wide range of innovative air treatment products that are specifically tailored to meet consumer needs.” The Comfort 6000 Air Conditioner operates at a noise level of 64db, while its Pure 5000 Connected Air Purifier features a quiet mode at just 20db. Meanwhile, Mr Wareham says the AEG EcoLine Air Purifiers were designed to adjust power to optimise energy while
still in use. They come with three different settings, Manual Modes 1 and 2 and the Smart Mode setting. Elsewhere, Russell Hobbs provides further choice to your consumers so they don’t get all hot and bothered in the Summer months. Marc Duckworth, Product Manager at Product
Care Group, which has a partnership with Russell Hobbs, explains: “We have recently launched our new air purifier range, along with the black RHDH1001B 10L Dehumidifier, suitable for a room size up to 30sqm and featuring a continuous extraction mode with a 600mm hose for continuous drainage. The model also offers three speeds to choose from so you can select the perfect level for your room.”
The Russell Hobbs range includes the RHAP1032WDW/WDB Clean Air Mini Aroma, with a brand-new aromatherapy function, the RHAP1031WDW/WDB Clean Air Compact 2 and, last but not least, the RHAP2831W/B Clean Air Style boasts quick purification of spaces up to 34sqm.
