April 2024 ertonline.co.uk Witt’s ETNA Rotante pizza oven Ninja’s Woodfire Pro Connect Electric BBQ Tower T978507 Ignite Multi XL BBQ

Geoff Johnson, Sales Director for Witt UK

and Ireland, explains to ERT: “The pizza oven market is perfect for independent retailers. An in-store display with our unique rotating stone is sure to entice customers; they will want to see and feel the product before they purchase – as it’s not a category they will be familiar with.” Responding to retailer requests for a smaller model in the range, Witt is expanding and will unveil the ETNA Piccolo later this year. It caters to 13-inch pizzas but still offers the same features as its older siblings, such as the rotating pizza stone. The Piccolo will be available in July – just in time for peak outdoor cooking season!

Also new for 2024 is the Wood Fuel Pizza Oven SKPO0W13SS (pictured below) from Statesman (available from Bluestem Group) – it’s as much of an entertaining centrepiece as a method of cooking food.

But for all the fun and flavour of stone- baked pizzas without the fire, Statesman is also launching the 13-inch Electric Pizza Oven (SKPO0E13B), which has the option to be used indoors… ideal for when it inevitably starts raining! Boasting a digital LED display and programmable timer, this appliance offers an authentic taste with modern convenience.

Last year, Product Care Group expanded its Zanussi outdoor living collection with new additions. One of them was the Wood Pellet Pizza Oven ZPO1BPC (pictured below), which is multi-purpose if users fancy a change from pizza, they can bake, roast and sear their other favourite foods quite simply too.

Its compact and portable design with foldable legs allow the ZPO1BPC to be set up wherever consumers want it; all they need to get started is natural firelighter and softwood or hardwood pellets, these give you that authentic wood-fired experience with minimal fuss. Earlier this year, SharkNinja announced a whole new suite of gadgets for 2024 – including its Ninja Woodfire Pro Connect XL Electric BBQ Grill & Smoker. It has seven different functions under one lid, but further still, using the new Ninja Pro Connect app, users can control and monitor their cooking from their phone – rather than having to slave over the grill and miss spending time with their guests. “We understand that consumers want to make the most of this Summer season,” says Tracey Scully, UK Managing Director for SharkNinja, “so with this in mind we have carefully designed our new product ranges to minimise stress and maximise easy living.”

Elsewhere, RKW offers a selection of gas BBQs from its own brand, Tower. The T978526 Stealth Pro Six Burner will cater for 12 to 16 people with its multi-function side burner and rotisserie kit. It can be fired up to 500 degrees to cook a delicious homemade pizza on the 35cm grill plate or on the pizza stone. “Another option is the Tower T978507 Ignite Multi XL,” adds Martin Wilson, RKW’s Category Director for Cleaning, Laundry and Outdoor. “It features four-in-one functionality combining gas, a multi-height charcoal grill, smoker barbecue and a side burner to grill a wide range of meats in different and delicious ways.”

But what about encouraging your customers to think about how they will complement their meals with a nice cold beverage? Luckily Statesman has just the thing… Its Five-Litre Chilled Draught Beer Dispenser (SKBD500SS) brings beer garden vibes to the comfort of the consumer’s home. Compatible with universal and pre-carbonated kegs, the built-in thermoelectric cooling system keeps beer fresh and chilled for up to 30 days, whilst the adjustable CO2 pressure gauge gives complete control over the pour of each drink so users can pour the perfect pint every time. You’re picturing it, aren’t you?! >>
