The BMF went over to London City Hall last month for the first statutory meeting of the Greater London Assembly, following the elections on 2 May for the London Mayor (Sadiq Khan) and the 25 Assembly Members. We were pleased to talk to some of the AMs after the meeting - notably Lord Bailey AM.

Shaun Bailey is a former London Mayor Candidate but now - in addition to the Greater London Authority - he is a Conservative peer in the House of Lords. Lord Bailey is keen to foster better links with businesses in London because he serves on the GLA Housing Committee - and has met the BMF before at the
Conservative Party Conference. We also met Keith Prince AM from Havering and Redbridge. Mr Prince serves on both the GLA Environment Committee and the Transport Committee. We plan to return to a future meeting of the GLA when Sadiq Khan will take oral questions from Assembly Members.
