Inspired by art
A wonderful new range of tabletop from Lesser and Pavey took to the stand at Autumn Fair this September. Inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s work, Vincent was a Dutch post-impressionist who posthumously became one of the most famous and influential figures in western art world. A painting by Vincent, Almond Blossoms, is a group of several paintings made in 1888 and 1890 by Vincent in Arles and Saint-Rémy, southern France, of blossoming almond trees. Flowering trees were special to Van Gogh. They represented awakening and hope. Large blossom branches against a blue sky were one of his favourite subjects. Almond trees flower early in the spring making them a symbol of new life. The new range of fine tabletop wares includes mugs, jug, teapot, tea for one, coasters, placemats, trays, a snack set with mug and a ceramic coaster and teaspoon gift set.
