Blanchard’s Home Hardware wins Christmas Window Dressing Competition
Blanchard’s Home Hardware (Bideford) has won Home Hardware’s Christmas Window Dressing Competition receiving £100 in M&S vouchers. Watson Home Hardware (Sutton on Sea) received the runner’s up prize of £50 M&S vouchers. The competition was introduced to support the Christmas promotion and to inspire retailers to create eye-catching window displays. All Home Hardware retailers
were invited to participate in the competition and the competition was judged by an independent panel.
Ultimate Products renews Russell Hobbs licence
Ultimate Products, owner of leading homeware brands Salter and Beldray, has renewed its trademark licence agreement with Spectrum Brands. Ultimate Products has been granted an
exclusive licence to use the “Russell Hobbs” trademark in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand for non-electrical kitchen and laundry products. The new agreement is on a rolling four-year basis, rather than the previous fixed-term arrangement due to end in March 2023.
Simon Showman, chief executive of Ultimate Products, said: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Spectrum Brands and are privileged to be able to use the Russell Hobbs trademark on a range of non-electrical kitchen and laundry products. “Moving from a fixed-term arrangement
to a rolling four-year contract decreases the ongoing licence risks, allowing us to focus on the long-term growth of the brand, which will increase the benefits of the partnership for both Spectrum Brands and Ultimate Products.”
Scrub Daddy adds new product lines at Tesco
Scrub Daddy has added its Scrub Mommy Violet, Dish Daddy Blue, Dish Daddy Refill heads and Sponge Daddy Four Pack at Tesco.
This follows the launch of two of Scrub Daddy’s
product lines in 254 Asda stores in October. James, senior account manager, said: “We are
excited that shoppers will now be able to pick up more of their favourite Scrub Daddy products in Tesco stores. Their decision to add four products to the range is a huge vote of confidence in the brand and highlights what a great year 2022 has been for Scrub Daddy in the UK.”

Ultimate Products launches Salter range in Sainsbury’s
Ultimate Products’ Salter Origins range of eco-friendly kitchenware items has now launched in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK. The range, which includes nearly 20 coordinated cookware, dinnerware and utensil items, has all been made from recycled materials that are sustainably packaged. All wooden items are FSC-certified, guaranteeing responsible forestry, while all cooking items are PFAS-free, ensuring non- toxic and planet-friendly cookware.
