hydration - honest bottle

We can also collaborate on social media campaigns, where we’re highly active. This has been particularly effective for us in growing the brand and telling our story as well as generating sales.

publicly available water and reduce barriers to requesting free water in managed premises.

HM: What are consumers looking for in 2022, what trends will emerge in 2023? GB: Consumers are becoming far choosier about the products they buy. Of course, price is still important, but now they want to know far more about where the product is made, what it’s made from and, more frequently, what happens to it at the end of its natural life. Producers are having to respond to this by designing in sustainability in every step of the product’s lifecycle; from creation right through to its second life.

This will become even more important in 2023 and beyond. Products that harm the environment will equally harm brand reputations. Transparency will also become essential for every brand as this will also combat greenwashing. We know that we’re not perfect, but we are honest

about how we can improve and that should be the mantra for every business.

HM: How do you work with retailers following product launches? GB: At launch, the Honest Bottle was sold exclusively from our retail website. More recently, it has now been listed at the Good Store in South Molton Street, London. Its uniqueness and sustainability credentials are unmatched, and so we’re dealing with a lot of genuine retail enquiries at the moment. The key for us though is that every retail partner we work with has to buy into our ethos, meaning that they also ask more questions about the other products lining their shelves.

We help our retailers both in-store and online. We can provide POS that not only helps display the range of bottles but also communicates the circular messaging. We can also create in-store events to that can help support sales and educate customers and staff alike.

HM: What products do you have planned for 2023 and beyond? How will the Honest Bottle evolve? GB: As well as focusing on growing retail distribution, we’ve also been developing our wholesale and co-branded customer base. We’re also working with a number of large corporate clients, and our aim here is to help them promote reuse and refill both internally and externally through employee gifting and giveaways at events. A branded Honest Bottle is a great way to keep guests at an event refreshed, whilst also eliminating single-waste plastics and giving them something usable that will help them remember the day. It also demonstrates that recycling schemes actually do work and circularity is not a pipe dream.

In addition, we’re actively looking to extend the range of products, and all with the same ethos; they must be made from recycled materials that are locally sourced.
