Ambiente A
mbiente, the world’s leading consumer goods trade fair by Messe Frankfurt, will take place
on February 3-7 at the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition Centre. The trade fair was designed to recognise the importance of outstanding design and creatively presenting new products and concepts to inspire manufacturers retailers, buyers, and industry luminaries. Always at the forefront, Ambiente continues to highlight trends and new designs, while showcasing a range of products from exhibitors and international presenters that anticipate global movements and insights in esteemed categories - reflecting evolving consumer behaviours and experiences. As the highly anticipated trade fair approaches, Housewares Magazine spoke to a selection of key exhibitors.
Taylors Eye Witness Alastair Fisher, Director
In my mind, Ambiente is the No1 global meeting place for the Housewares Industry. Here we meet established customers, new prospects, suppliers, and machinery manufacturers from all over the world, and of course we get to see our global competition. Taylors Eye Witness Ltd have exhibited every year for the last 35 years, initially on a BHETA sponsored joint stand, and in 2023 we will have our largest ever stand in Hall 9.0.
The early years were a testament of faith in our desire to build an export business, but over the years relationships developed and international customers began to trust us more. Today, our export business, mostly won at Ambiente, is a significant contributor to our turnover. At Ambiente 2023, we will showcase a wide selection of our current range with emphasis on our NPD. Firstly, we are excited about the global reaction to our Rainbow series of kitchen tools which will join some exciting range extensions, but that will be kept under wraps for the show! Secondly, we are expecting great things from our Brooklyn Deco Blue and Green tools and Gadgets, and our Forte series of precision ground in Sheffield
kitchen Knives.
The last Ambiente was in February 2020 and the next will be February 2023 which means two shows have been lost to the pandemic. We very much hope that the global industry will support Ambiente 2023 and make in a great success. You can find Taylors Eye Witness in Hall 9.0, Stand C35
Just Mugs
Angela Barnes, Design & Marketing Manager Money mindfulness will be a necessity in the coming years, ‘Dining in’ is likely to become more popular but this does not guarantee shoppers buying new dinnerware. As we all tighten
our belts, food will be the priority rather than what we eat it off. If we do require new crockery, then low-cost alternatives are more likely to be on the shopping list. Our renewed love of green spaces and the
countryside will be brought into our home life. Inside and outside spaces will continue to reflect this with nature as key feature. Of course, sustainability is certain to stay and become more widespread where we ‘upcycle’ rather than buy new. The uncluttered ‘less is more’ decoration
trend from 2020/21 will become less common with a busier pattern filled existence coming to the fore. Muted shades will move over for bolder statement colours such as navy, maroon and emerald green. The younger generation will revisit y2k pop culture trends by following & embracing the music & fashion of that time, so we expect a return to geometric grid style backgrounds, futuristic vistas with tropical hues and a love of 3D designs. I also think colours are likely to be very cool, specifically icy whites & watery blues. As a business Just Mugs has always
taken pride in embracing the coming interior and fashion trends into our range, see for yourself when we show our latest creations at Ambiente. You can find Just Mugs in Hall 12, Stand E64

and innovative product to customers from all over the world, making it more valuable than ever. We are excited to meet face-to-face with new and existing customers and suppliers. Since the last physical show, Silver Crane has introduced three new brands to the industry,
CRAFTin, Kit and Boodle and Motif. From paint your own confectionery tins to exquisite barrier coated cocktail inspired chocolates, we are continuing to generate excitement in the worldwide market rather than following it.
CRAFTin: Everyone loves a cookie tin but why not create one yourself? CRAFTin isn’t just a tin of cookies, but a gift, an activity, and a treat all in one!
Kit and Boodle: Want a new food crush? Inspired by street food, Kit and Boodle brings you top notch flavours to upgrade your dishes! Our cheeky spice mixes turn you from a cooking rookie to a cultured chef within minutes, unleashing your gastronomical talents.
Motif: Covetable confectionery to complement your aesthetic is Motif’s mission. Taking inspiration from the worlds of fashion, interiors, art, and pop culture, we are bringing a whole new meaning to eye candy with our collectable, pocket-sized mint tins, and cocktail inspired chocolate tins.
