AFTERNOON TEA

Instagram generation creating afternoon tea resurgence

Afternoon tea is experiencing a resurgence and Lifetime Brands’ Jayne O’Donnell, Head of UK Independent Sales says it is down to it embracing the Instagram generation.

Pyrex offers a selection of over 10 shapes and sizes of glass

bakeware, including pie dishes, baking trays, and loaf dishes. These products cater to a variety of baking needs, making them essential for preparing a wide range of afternoon tea delights, from scones and pastries to savoury tarts. Clear glass remains a timeless favourite, allowing the colours of

baked goods to shine through. This summer, we anticipate a growing trend towards classic and neutral tones in kitchenware, with clear glass maintaining its popularity due to its clean, versatile appearance.

Pourfection!

“It’s an opportunity to create an Instagram-worthy spread,”says Jayne O’Donnell, Head of UK Independent Sales at Lifetime Brands. ITS Mikasa LUXE Deco range provides all that is required from today’s consumers and is inspired by the bold geometric prints of the Art Deco Era, its striking black and white geometric accented by a subtle gold rim – instantly creating a look of luxury. The brands range covers all the key pieces to create the perfect afternoon tea tablescape, from infuser and tea for one teapots, to cups, mugs, side plates, and a sugar and creamer set. Ms O’Donnell explains: “Champagne and prosecco have become a

key part of afternoon tea, so our Mikasa Sorrento glassware with gold rims complete the look. What’s more, the collection is drop ship ready so retailers can maximise the opportunity both in-store and online.”

A glass act

As we transition seasons, Pyrex encourages retailers to consider its versatile glass bakeware range, perfect for the quintessential British tradition of afternoon tea. The brands bakeware allows for seamless baking and serving directly from oven to table, adding a touch of elegance to any gathering.

British potters Denby are launching its new Brew drinkware pieces in two of its best-selling collections to elevate tea and coffee moments “beyond the ordinary”. Handcrafted in Derbyshire by its ceramic experts, its new pieces are launching in its calming palette of Kiln and granite and quartz texture of Studio Grey. Gary Hawley, Senior Designer at Denby says, “We know the

importance of a good hot drink. The ritual of sitting down together and  Brew collection. From the outset we wanted a collection that remained aesthetically beautiful but also delivered the best possible tea and coffee experience.” This has been achieved by Denby Brew Drinkware pieces which include Large and Small Teapots (the latter with strainer), Teacup & Saucer, Espresso Cup & Saucer, Small Jug and Sugar Pot. And for those who prefer coffee from a coffee brewing machine, Kiln now also has  Denby’s full range of Brew Drinkware is also available in popular Halo.
