and BBC One programme announcer Alan Dedicoat (best known as the ‘Voice of the Balls’ on The National Lottery shows), the event attracted hundreds of guests. Proceedings kicked off with a champagne drinks reception sponsored by Mastrad and Beaumont, where guests enjoined networking with their peers. Alison Farrell, sales and event manager for Housewares Magazine and the Awards, then took to the stage to welcome the audience. She said: “I’d like to start things off by thanking everyone for attending this evening. raised the bar once again and certainly made life difficult for our judges. So I’d like to take this opportunity to extend a huge thank you to all of this year’s judges for dedicating their time and knowledge, and to everyone who voted, for helping to ensure that the very best are recipients of a trophy tonight. “Of course, nights like this would not be possible without our incredible sponsors - so I’d like to also thank Spring Fair, Ashley Thomas, Beaumont, Bira, BHETA, Blue Diamond, Denby, The English Tableware Company, Home Hardware, Lakeland, Le Creuset, Mastrad, Tower, T&G Woodware and What More UK for their support of this event. “These past 18 months or so have been a whirlwind introduction to the housewares

‘Take Me I’m Yours’ initiative: on each table was a selection of gifts for guests to take home, that were generously donated by Kambukka, Refind China Studio, EasiYo Products (UK) and The Beeswax Wrap Company. In addition, Scott Brothers supplied goodie bags that were placed on every guest’s chair. The evening came a close with a charity fundraiser game of ‘Heads and Tails’ sponsored by Blue Diamond Garden Centres in aid of its chosen charity the Rainy Day Trust, which raised £665.25.
