shownews Portobello

Made from eco-friendly bamboo, the Polynesia range comprises a set of four matching cups, a travel mug with silicone sleeve for extra grip, a jug, a large serving tray and a handle serving tray. Dishwasher-suitable, the range features a bright and contemporary palm design.

BergHOFF

The BergHOFF group launched around 100 products, including an extension to the GEM cookware range, featuring the same handles (which are removable with a single click) and suitable for all hobs including induction. But the glass lids on the new GEM Stay Cool cookware have a silicone edge, an ergonomic handle and two different sized pouring areas for straining small and large ingredients. The lid can be positioned vertically on the body of the pan, leaving both hands free to stir and the condensation dripping straight back in to the pan, which means less mess on the stovetop.

Stay Cool is a new cookware range from Stellar, so called to reflect the design of the handles, which stay cool while the pan directs all of the heat into the pan body for efficient cooking. Other features include silicone edged glass lids which aim to seal in nutrients when cooking and promise hassle-free draining. The pans, which are manufactured in high grade stainless steel, are suitable for all hob types and oven-safe up to 210°C. They have curved bases (holding the induction plate) black edge lids and dynamically styled handles.

Following the success of the Hard Anodised range, Tower has introduced its new premium Ice Diamond line. Made from heat- resistant, multi-layered forged aluminium, the cookware features a superior diamond non-stick coating which, Tower says, reduces the need for oil when cooking. Suitable for all hob types, the pans are oven-safe up to 200°C and dishwasher-safe.

GreenPan

Ambiente saw several new ranges from GreenPan which are set to launch in the UK this year. Pictured is Mayflower, which aims to ‘recreate the style from a traditional kitchen but with contemporary features associated with GreenPan’. So, it features Infinity Professional ceramic non-stick, an energy-saving Magneto induction base and heavy-gauge construction for quick and even heat distribution. The design, which is described as ‘very much ‘classics remastered’’, is finished with wooden handles with an extended flame guard.
