London exhibition Top Drawer kicked off the Spring trade show season on January 13. Here’s a snapshot of some of the key housewares launches.
Sophie Allport
Homewares and lifestyle brand Sophie Allport launched five new designs at Top Drawer including the floral Peony range. There are over 40 products in the collection, ranging from fine bone tableware and kitchen fabrics to picnicware, bags and accessories.

New for 2019, Aladdin Zoo water bottles are described as four ‘original, cute and playful water bottles to take with you anywhere you go’. Crafted from stainless steel Thermavac vacuum insulation to ensure drinks stay cold for up to seven hours, the products feature a wide drinking spout for easy filling and cleaning and soft silicone finger loops which double up as character ears.

Born In Sweden
The latest member to join the Forma House family of brands, Born in Sweden ‘takes great care to use materials that have a long life, whilst also trying to use as much recycled raw material as possible’. The range includes vases, wine racks, bird feeders, kitchenware, soft furnishings and the Stumpastaken candle holder (pictured).

Pictured is Zoku’s double-walled vacuum insulated stainless steel bottle, which ensures beverages stay cold for up to 40 hours and hot for up to 12 hours. The bottle is made of heavy gauge 18/8 stainless steel and features a removable paracord lanyard.

This new Dragonfly design features the insects’ slender bodies and narrow pairs of wings, contrasted against a midnight blue background. There are more than 60 products in the collection, ranging from fine bone china mugs and jugs to tableware, kitchen fabrics and picnicware, plus porcelain serving dishes and jugs, bags and accessories (such as a glasses case, wallet, printed scarf, purse and keyring).
Poole Pottery
New for 2019 is the Lapis collection. Displaying the gem-like qualities of its mineral namesake, and hand-crafted and hand-decorated using Poole’s artisan decorating techniques, the range includes three asymmetrical vases and one bowl.

Studio William
Studio William says it noticed a gap in the market for ‘beautiful design-led tongs’. The result is a range of 12 grove tongs, ‘designed for enhancing food presentation in the home or restaurant’.
