Advanced Engineering

As temperatures rise over the summer months, so too does the demand for air conditioning units.

Advanced Engineering provides a

range of ready-to-use (RTU) products, including the RTU CC (condenser cleaner), RTU ECD (evaporator cleaner and disinfectant), RTU EC (evaporator cleaner) and RTU BU (bubble up leak detector). The RTU CC is ideal for using as part of a regular maintenance programme, which can ultimately improve system capacity. RTU CC is an easy-to-use, non-foaming solution that is effective at removing all common types of dirt and debris.

For complete hygiene and improved performance, the RTU ECD includes QX-60, which kills 99.99% of bacteria in less than 60 seconds. The RTU EC has a biodegradable formula making it safe to use, removing dirt and airborne pollutants in just 10 minutes. The RTU BU is a high viscosity and florescent solution designed specifically to detect refrigerant leaks. Simply spray onto suspect joints to reveal any seepages in a few minutes.

Bacharach

Bacharach has introduced the new MVR-SC controller, designed to pair with MVR-300 refrigerant monitors to provide real-time status of refrigerant leaks throughout a facility. This enables scalable remote monitoring to improve occupant safety.

The key functions of the MVR-SC include centralised alarming for MVR-300 VRF leak detectors, network set-up and MVR-300 Modbus ID assignment, system monitoring and seamless integration The MVR-SC eliminates the need to integrate VRF leak detection into a BAS controller and the related custom programming expense. By implementing a hybrid Ethernet serial network the MVR-SC simplifies the Modbus integration, provides fast response for fault detection and troubleshooting and is quickly deployed in any size facility. The MVR-SC monitors up to 100 MVR-300 devices and has an integrated audible alarm. The MVR-SC has an intuitive user interface built on a colour touchscreen display. VRF systems are being increasingly deployed in multi-tenant buildings. The Bacharach VRF leak detection system, which includes the MVR-300 and MVR-SC, improves occupant safety in the case of a VRF system leak.

Airedale

Airedale International has a TurboChill Spray evaporator range of chillers, with R1234ze refrigerant. It has been included in the government issued Energy Technology List (ETL). The ETL’s purpose

is to encourage businesses to choose energy efficient products when making capital purchases so as to help overall environmental goals. The incentive for the individual business, over and above helping our planet, is that any capital purchases from the list qualify for the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) tax scheme and can therefore be fully offset against any taxable profit for the same year. For a product to be on the ETL it must meet specific energy saving or energy efficient criteria.

The TurboChill Spray Evaporator incorporates centrifugal TurboCor compressor technology, which offers 30-100% variable speed control. The implementation of spray flooded type evaporator technology means that the TurboChill Spray Evapor range reduces refrigerant evaporator charge by up to 70% and overall unit charge by up to 50%, while maintaining efficiency.

Big Foot Systems

Big Foot Systems has supplied custom support for acoustic screening on the rooftop of a mixed-use development in Holborn, London.

Big Foot’s technical team designed a

system to support the heavy acoustic screening. The supports were designed to ensure the pressure exerted by their feet did not exceed the limit of the lightweight roof.

At the Hatton Wall project, Big Foot Systems’ customised solution offered specific non-penetrative support as the solution. A HD Beam is a robust but flexible solution where space may be limited, or there is a requirement to position directly over existing structural roof beams. It is also height adjustable to maintain a level system on roof falls. Big Foot Systems’ products are quick and easy to install ensuring project cost and time clarity. Big Foot Systems provides engineered solutions that are innovative in design, robust and repeatable. Available to install in all weathers utilising familiar componentry, all systems are designed with safety, security and simplicity in mind.
