AIR CONDITIONING

A 360 view of versatile air conditioning

F

rom a golf club in Newcastle, to a stylish, high-end retailer, Samsung’s 360 Cassette has proven to be a versatile solution for projects big and small. The Samsung 360 Cassette is fashioned in a unique circular shape, which uniformly distributes cool air in all directions for additional comfort throughout the entire room. A variety of air conditioning projects selected the 360 unit for a range of installations, here’s a look at three projects that used the unit and how this fit the brief from the customer.

The City of Newcastle Golf Club

The City of Newcastle Golf Club received a range of brand new heating and cooling systems from Samsung to incorporate air conditioning within the area. Project Refrigeration, a Prudhoe-based air

conditioning specialist, designed and installed the cooling solution within the golf club. The brief was to create a new fit out of the Golf clubhouse and incorporate air conditioning within the area.

The overall aim was to make all areas open plan with the option of closing each individual

area to create a private dining or function option. Each space would have its own climate solution, depending on the needs of those using the different spaces. The Samsung 360 Cassette was selected by Project Refrigeration for the main clubhouse and the wind-free mini cassettes were installed in the first-floor offices. The booster fan creates a low-pressure zone

around the outlet achieving a bladeless vertical oscillating airflow, permitting direct cool air parallel to the ceiling and disperses it across a wider area.

Jon Douglas, director at Project Refrigeration said: “We selected the Samsung 360 Cassette because we have used this system for numerous projects before, including the project at Bruce Building Haymarket, which is also based in Newcastle. The Samsung 360 Cassette is something that is so unique to the air conditioning sector, which our client at the golf clubhouse loved”.

End Soho

Another business benefiting from 360 cooling is stylish high-end fashion retailer End

Soho, based in London. The store has been refurbished with a brand-new heating and cooling system from Samsung to offer a new and re-imagined shopping experience. Air Conditioning supplier, Cool-Tec Services, designed and installed the cooling solution within the clothing store. It was tasked to provide a system that not only provided a comfortable air temperature, but to fit a product that would work well within the existing interior design. The Samsung 360 Cassette was selected by the supplier due to its sleek and stylish profile. The cassette has the ability to change the direction of the air flow and can also distribute air to different sections of a room, eliminating dead zones. This gives an even air conditioning solution across 360 degrees. The Samsung 360 Cassette is available in white and black and Cool-Tec chose the white unit to fit with the existing interior at End Soho, making it the perfect fit for this project. Lee Bryant, project manager at Cool-Tec said: “We decided to install the Samsung 360 Cassette as this sleek and stylish unit fits into the overall interior and isn’t obtrusive
