begins with a printed sheet and delivers a banded die-cut pack of labels ready for delivery at the end. This machine can handle a wide range of label papers and other materials, including plastic cards. The operator of the LabelSystem DC-11 is

supported by a menu-driven interface, which considerably reduces set up time. With the ‘OptiChange’ feature it is possible to changeover jobs in just 15 minutes. OnePunchRegister adjusts the cutting die

cut is ensured using the locking device. It is a machine that can minimise waste. The production process starts with the

printed sheets positioned in the automatic jogger, the edges perfectly aligned. The jogger has an integrated counting scale so that the cutting reams are uniform. After that, the high speed cutter, N115 Pro

HD, trims the ream on all four sides before cutting the material into strips that are then transferred via the LTS loading table to the Polar Autocut 25plus, which takes two strips at a time and cuts them into singles. An automatic label feeding system separates the

two label stacks, ensuring an accurate stack before presenting the labels to the ram punch that cuts the profile shape into the stack and finally presents the cut stack into the inline bander. The BDplus bander is capable of both east-west and north- south banding as well as producing maxi packs.

Operating with an ultrasonic welding unit, which does not require preheating, means that is always ready for use, is gentle on the material and does not cause any unpleasant odours. One user is Walcher & Rees, managing director,
