ow in its 17th year, Electrical Safety First’s annual Electrical Product


Safety Conference sees experts and leaders from across the industry delve into pressing issues, offering solutions and sharing insights into the evolving landscape of electrical product safety. The full-day conference is taking place on


Thursday 16 October at The Mermaid, Puddle Dock, London. It is sponsored by UL Standards & Engagement and hosted for the first time in conjunction with the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organisation (ICPHSO). It is renowned for exploring key themes


and trends affecting consumer safety and the electrical product industry. The conference attracts a wide range of delegates from government departments, industry leaders, policy makers and enforcement bodies, as well as other leading voices in consumer protection and product standards.


Major speakers from government and industry This year’s event investigates the theme of ‘Back to Basics’. It will look at the core discussions, changes and challenges that directly impact and influence the work of electrical product safety. The conference will explore the challenges and best practice relating to e-micromobility in the gig economy, considerations as we transition to sustainable product design, benefits of effective collaboration to influence policy and safety awareness, as well as a look at emerging problems and solutions as we progress through the 21st century. From the stage, the speakers share real life examples of best practice, examine upcoming developments and debate critical issues currently facing the industry.
