Electric Heating

The smart move is electric heating!

If the national target in the UK is to reach zero carbon emissions by 2050, then a change needs to come - and quickly! With at least 8 in 10 homes still being fuelled by gas boilers, at least 20% of all UK emissions are caused by inefficient home heating systems, but this is set to change. statement aimed to set a new standard for properties built aſter 2025, with a strong and sustained move away from the gas grid and ensuring that new builds will have to use alternate means of heating the homes, other than the traditional mains gas. Existing homes will still be allowed to use gas central heating, but it’s advised that they look for alternative methods when it comes to upgrading their current heating systems. The long-term trends for energy supply in the UK mean that electric heating will become a top choice for homes, just as electric powered cars are becoming a top choice for vehicles. Electric heating can offer real benefits both now and in the future. It’s clear that the government are planning for the future, and it’s also becoming more and more apparent that electricity will be the way forward. This month, Boris Johnson announced £160 million in funding to upgrade ports and factories for building turbines to help the country "build back greener". Boris stated: “Your kettle, your washing machine, your cooker, your heating, your plug-in electric vehicle – the whole lot of them will get their juice
