Fashion seasons dictate that
swimwear, shorts, and t-shirts are currently the way to go, and while that is not entirely wrong, it’s best to be prepared for any weather type and in turn for any customer needs. This can be done in a multitude
e
of ways, but sometimes stocking the ‘simple things’, e.g. tops, jeans, trousers and coats, is a good way to go for many first-time fashion retailers.
Spring coats A spring coat can embody many different designs: collarless, double breasted, trench, cropped or knee-length. A seasonal favourite does tend to be the
classic trench coat, which was made famous by Burberry. The trench coat is a British staple for many and a versatile piece in anyone’s wardrobes.

A good alternative for the trench coat – for
those that do not want to pay Burberry prices – is the InWear OPHIEIW double breasted trench coat, in the classic beige colour with a tie belt around the waist and wrists. Another trench coat option is from KAFFE, a hip-length blue belted coat, with hidden buttons and a top button exposed as a feature. However, a good seasonal spring coat can also
be collarless, for instance the InWear JEANIEIW coat, which is lightly padded and collarless, while still smart with its hidden zipper. These classically elegant styles and colours
appeal to a variety of ages, and remain ‘in style’ in any season, especially as Andrew Goodacre, CEO of the British Independent Retailers Association (BIRA), has said that “grounded”, earthy neutrals are “dominating” and are “speaking to a consumer’s appetite for longevity and authenticity over throwaway novelty”.
Versatility of the ‘silk’ scarf Usually synonymous with Golden Age starlets, including Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, this simplistic accessory is becoming part of more and more wardrobes in 2026 with its versatile styling options. Now not typically made out of silk, be it

It can be worn as a scarf, hair tie or even a belt depending on its size, even for gentlemen it can be worn as a pocket square or formal occasions or styling as a cravat – not necessarily in style for 2026, but still a stylistic option many chose. Founded in 1993, KAFFE highlights the silk
scarf in its Spring/Summer 2026 lookbook, highlighting its versatile uses, with the KAgabby scarf, using them typically and, as after then handbag accessories and then even belts. This shows that trends come and go and being on the forefront of these trends is key.
