INTERVIEW In conversation with… JESS & LOU
“I am very proud of what Jess & Lou has achieved in the past eight years,” says Damon Murphy, Director of Jess & Lou. “Customer service is something which my team and I place high importance on.” Here, Damon talks to Footwear & Fashion Today about how Jess & Lou came to be, their growth in 2026 and future projects.
M
ade to be bold and creative, Jess & Lou, named after the director’s daughter and mum, Louise, has found a space in
selling wool-blend and Bamboo scarves, socks and other accessories. Before founding his company in 2016, Damon
Murphy worked as an agent with brands such as Fever, when his customers noticed there were specific products they couldn’t find. This spurred Damon into action and he
started sourcing his own product, beginning with scarves, which then quickly developed into other sectors including the company’s now extremely popular wool-blend Cosy Socks, which was the beginning of Jess & Lou. Damon spoke to Footwear & Fashion Today about his company and how they operate, recent growth, new products and keeping their customers happy.
Q&A
Q: What is new for the brand? How has 2026 been for you so far? Damon Murphy: We have introduced 125 new lines to the collection, building on products which have been a commercial hit in 2025. Most of the range is focused on expanding on our ever popular wool-blend Cosy Socks, but we have also introduced some key pieces which offer our customers something a little different – yet still hitting the key price point everyone has come to rely on us for. 2026 has been fantastic – we have opened a
record number of stockists and are in contact with many more. We offer no minimum orders, with everything being available individually and aim to deliver within 24 hours. I think stockists appreciate this level of flexibility.
Q: Please tell us about your core product ranges? DM: Jess & Lou’s products, at their core, are designed to sell themselves. We use high quality materials, putting that little bit ‘extra’
