WELCOME FRESH INSIGHT I

nside this edition you can catch up on many topics, but I want to highlight two of
which I am very proud. Read about Te America’s Division EPiC (Emerging Professionals in Consulting) committee, a group of young, enthusiastic consultants just starting their careers. We appreciate their fresh insight into how we can improve our organization. As the first female chair of TAD, I also enjoyed Tina’s article on Women Leaders
recently had the pleasure of attending the TAD Conference in Austin,
Texas. What an exhilarating experience. It’s invigorating to meet with members from around the world who share a deep enthusiasm for our industry and are shaping the future of foodservice. My conversations with members of the EPiC committee was particularly memorable. Witnessing the drive and passion of these

in Foodservice. It’s exciting to see such a marked rise in female consultants. Te WIL (Women in Leadership) panel at the NRA Show, on which I was privileged to participate, is evidence of this trend, which is good for our industry. If you were unable to attend Camp FCSI in April, you missed out. We had a great time learning from each other and enjoying beautiful Austin, Texas. Next up is the NAFEM Symposium in February. Being
on the board and an active participant in FCSI has taught me that the connections we make through our profession are the most important benefit of being a member. I initially got involved in FCSI by joining a committee. My colleagues have become friends and potential business partners. We have several new committees in the works – I encourage you to get involved. Contact Wade (

many ideas we’re excited to implement in our region. With that in mind, I’m thrilled to announce that our next APD conference will be in Danang, Vietnam, in July 2025. We’ve already seen a tremendous outpouring of interest, with many members eager to check Vietnam off their bucket
list. We want to ensure the conference is insightful and a fantastic opportunity for networking and collaboration. Additionally, our industry night in Kuala Lumpur on May 31st saw 130+ attendees. It was incredibly encouraging to see such enthusiasm, with many traveling from across the region for an evening of relaxation and camaraderie. Tis turnout is a testament to the strength of FCSI and our vibrant industry in this region.

experiencing something truly special. Our FCSI motto, “We share, we support, we inspire,” resonates deeply, but it’s time to add: “Together we celebrate” to it. Tese gatherings aren’t just events; they’re a testament to our unity. I wholeheartedly encourage every member to jump on board. Te flawless organization, diverse educational offerings, and the delightful
setting blended learning with fun. In these challenging times, collaboration and cooperation are our secret weapons. EAME is gearing up to host the next conference in Zurich from October 17-20. Te motto ‘EARTH 2024’ encapsulates key themes: ‘E’ for economics, ‘A’ for agriculture, ‘R’ for recruitment, ‘T’ for time, and ‘H’ for health – each is a pillar of our industry. Our Swiss colleagues are all set to deliver an exceptional event. GulfHost in Dubai, UAE,

scheduled for November 5-7, also promises a professional program that the region is renowned for. FCSI’s return to this event is a big deal. Guided by Richard Haddad FCSI, our MENA team – with Elonique’s support – aims to build upon the success of the last GulfHost. Tanks to our board’s commitment, EAME members can engage in projects like this for mutual learning, support, and shared joy. We’re growing together as one vibrant society.
