blackworks: the new age

Blackworks 2025–2026: Expansion & Legacy

Six years after its birth in Madrid, Blackworks is no longer thinking only about its city or even Spain. The project now stands at a decisive crossroads: moving from being a local-global phenomenon to consolidating itself as a cultural movement with historical projection.

The expansion doesn’t follow the logic of growth for growth’s sake. It’s about choosing strategic territories, reading the pulse of each scene, and only stepping in if the Blackworks experience can be guaranteed at 100%. The goal isn’t to stack up dates, but to maintain the credibility of a project born from the underground that now operates on an international scale.

In this conversation, Daniel Novoa lays out both the immediate future and the long-term vision: one that seeks to place Blackworks not just on the festival calendar, but in the history of electronic music.

EXPANSION & NEW TERRITORIES

Blackworks’ international roadmap is already underway.

“We’re in a very exciting stage of expansion. Australia is quite advanced, we’ve got major events in Germany, we’re working on returning to the U.S., and we’ve got cities like Istanbul, London, Paris, and Lisbon on the radar, along with key markets in the Americas such as Mexico, Colombia, and Chile. We’re also managing to go around Asia and the Middle East. We’ve always wanted to grow smart: it’s not about being everywhere, but about choosing strategic territories with real demand and, above all,

the right partner.

Without the right partner and without being able to guarantee the full Blackworks experience, we’d rather not do it.”

Each city is a laboratory with its own ener- gy code. Novoa embraces excitement and caution:

it with both

“Asia and Australia excite me the most. Every city has its vibe, its own way of living music, and that’s what we want to absorb and mix with our essence. The challenges are big: the uncertainty of how the crowd will react, higher costs, the risk of trusting partners you don’t yet know. But that’s also where the adrenaline lies: crossing borders and taking Blackworks to places we never thought we’d reach.”
