FANTASM: trust, fire & family in Blackworks

Blackworks isn’t just a promoter, it’s a phenomenon that has shaken the electronic scene with brutal strenght. Between packed arenas, monumental visuals, and a community that moves as one, the Spanish brand has become a global reference point. Within that orbit, Fantasm has found a space where his artistic identity flourishes and his connection with the crowd intensifies.

With a mix of rawness, sensitivity, and humor, the DJ talks about what it means to belong to the Blackworks family, about his experience playing an all-night-long set in Spain, and about how he sees this personal and professional bond.

What does Blackworks mean to you on a per- sonal level?

Personally, Blackworks is like that wild relati- ve: you don’t see them often, but when you do, you never know what’s going to happen. The only sure thing is: it’s going to be epic.

And what does Blackworks represent for you professionally?

Professionally, Blackworks was always those parties I watched from my room, dreaming of playing there. The stage design they put toge- ther is out of this world, and they really give it all: a 110 percent in every detail. That’s some- thing I can only respect.

How did it feel to play an all-night-long set with Blackworks in Spain?

Doing an all-night-long here was something I owed to the Spanish community. What we’ve built together is something I’m deeply grateful for. There’s no one else I would have wanted to celebrate a full night, done my way, with than them.

How do you usually prepare your sets, espe- cially an all-night-long?

Honestly, I never really prepare for an all-ni- ght-long, the same as with my other sets. I’m like a master of people’s feelings; I play what I think the crowd is feeling (if that makes sen- se). My plan is to share everything I’ve loved since I first started listening to electronic mu- sic, so you can expect seven different genres, from groove to hardcore and everything in be- tween. I want to tell my story, my life through music, my battles and my emotions. I want us to share a part of ourselves and conquer that night together.

In your opinion, what makes Blackworks stand out from other parties or promoters?

I think what sets Blackworks apart is, first of all, the production, because that’s what you see before you even step into the party.

Huge arenas packed with people going crazy, with a presence behind the DJ brought to life by the best VJs I’ve ever seen. Then, once you come in as an artist, the care is always top level. The organization is part of the party, we all come together and have fun like a family. Artists usually arrive early to hang out, con- nect, and meet legends, and that’s something you don’t find everywhere.

Is there a moment or memory with Blackwor- ks you treasure above the rest?

I can’t think of just one moment. What I value most is seeing how the trust between us has grown. I showed them what I was capable of, and we fell in love with each other, both perso- nally and professionally.

About his relationship with Blackworks, LEV, manager of FANTASM, said:

What has been your role in Kenzo’s artistic journey and development?

My role has been more from behind the scenes, but I believe that’s often where real support makes the biggest difference. By being part of the team, bringing ideas, and helping to create the right environment, we’ve seen Kenzo grow both as an artist and as a person. It’s inspiring to witness that process up close, and it also motivates me to keep pushing. His growth shows what’s possible when talent and dedication meet the right support system.

How would you describe your experience working with Dani and the Blackworks team, and what makes them special to you?

Working with Dani is always a pleasure. From day one, it felt like we weren’t just collabora- ting with a brand, but with a family. What sets Blackworks apart is that they always deliver the best of the best, and that inspires us to aim for the highest level in everything we do. That mix of professionalism and family spirit is what makes it so special.
