Booking Agent en Analog Agency SALLY HURST
How was your first contact with the project? I discovered Blackworks in 2019 through some friends. I went to their first event in an intimate venue in Madrid, looking for good techno and good vibes. The party delivered exactly that, with great energy and an immediate sense of commu- nity on the dancefloor.
At that time, I was still just starting my career as an agent, and I remember meeting Dani there. I don’t think either of us could have imagined then that Blackworks would go on to become one of the most influential names in the hard tech- no movement, filling arenas and hosting stages at festivals all over the world.
What do you think makes Blackworks different within the scene?
It might sound a bit cliché, but for me Blackworks is an event created by ravers and for ravers. A big part of the team ge- nuinely listens to the music and enjoys these kinds of events, which gives them an insider’s perspective on what can be improved or what can make a difference, from the lineup and the level of production to the way artists are taken care of.
Also, in my experience, every artist on the lineup receives a high level of attention and respect, both during the ad- vancing process and at the event itself, regardless of how “trendy” they might be at that moment. This, which doesn’t always happen in the industry, means a lot for emerging ar- tists and their teams.
Is there a show, moment, or anecdote you remember with affection or intensity?
After being at the very first Blackworks event and many others over the years, a truly special moment for me was the Blackworks Festival at IFEMA in March 2025. I had some artists from my roster playing there, including Luciid, with whom I’ve grown so much: both in my career and alongside his over the last few years.
Luciid was invited to create the festival’s official anthem, which he delivered brilliantly. Watching him drop it on such a massive stage, with a packed dancefloor, pyro, and huge production, was a full-circle moment for me that I’ll never forget.
