the ‘Metamorfosi experience’.”
“It’s really important for us to protect both the music and the art. We are not going to do a ‘Metamorfosi’ event just because everyone else is doing large events. We want people to come and enjoy the experience, the sound, the production, the lights and the venue. We have a special team that works tirelessly and the results were recognized this summer at Amnesia. We make it a point to treat everyone exceptionally well. All clients left happy, which is key. Having customers coming back on a weekly basis is a goal for us. The crowd needs to be treated well and from a place of honesty. This is also the way I approach my music and the way I play. I love what I do and I continue to do it in this way.”
Fans are eager to hear about new Joseph Capriati music. Could you share any upcoming releases or collaborations on the horizon?
“I know I haven’t put out music in a while and it’s been something that has affected me. I’ve been in a transition phase and I’ve been trying to do something different with my production, but I am happy to share that I am back in the studio making some proper music for the dance floor and I am very excited to share it with you!”
“I’m also going to release a House record on Nervous Records soon. It will be a proper classic House record. Furthermore, I’m preparing the relaunch of my label Redimension and the launch of a new label which is going to be more Housie and groovy. This label will be named Metamorfosi Records.”
“So there’s going to be a next chapter for my music production, and I’m also open to releasing records on other labels that give me the possibility to express myself. At some point I didn’t want to release anymore on certain labels because I didn’t feel free to truly express myself. When I got no’s from certain labels that I was frequently releasing on, I felt there was something that was just not aligning anymore. I respect that everybody has different visions, so there is nothing negative about that. But as an artist I would love to always feel free to express myself in terms of releases.”
“As a DJ, I work super hard every day to make people dance and have a fantastic time on the dance floor. But an important thing for me is that my releases don’t always necessarily need to be in-line with my Ibiza sound or Techno sessions. I should also be able to express something deeper or more melodic in my releases sometimes. It’s always been like that for me in terms of production, and I will finally be back to releasing my music.”
Can you tell us more about the relaunch of the ‘Redimension’
and what fans can anticipate?
“Soon we are going to unveil ‘Redimension 2.0.’ We are coming back with a new team and brand new look. Finally all the people who have been sending me demo’s, and all the friends will be supported.”
“I took a break releasing on ‘Redimension’ because a label requires having a really focussed team and label management. So I took some time to find the right people, but we’re finally ready to re-launch. I want to give the best support possible to the artists who desire to release on the label.”
How do you continue to find inspiration in a constantly evolving musical landscape and how do you navigate the evolving scene, especially considering your
emphasis on being a DJ 32

social media activity?
Right now the scene is evolving very fast and in a way that sometimes has nothing to do with my musical roots or where I came from. My inspiration is driven by my passion, by the love and support constantly shown from the crowd and definitely by my team who’s always there to support me - even in the most difficult times of my life. I particularly share my love for the music with my Tour Manager, Andrea Fusco, who’s been with me in this role since 9/10 years but we can say we have known each other forever, for more than 20 years! We went to school together and he has witnessed my whole journey I was telling you about in this interview, he really saw it all coming together and has shared with me the passion for music since day 1. I consider myself to be an artist who lives, breathes and sweats for this passion and the love of music and I take pride in my career and my musical selection. I think that’s still the most important thing - the rest is just a plus.
“For example, I’m not very active on social media at the moment, but still I am a very active artist. So it doesn’t always mean that you have to follow every move that the scene makes. Some may argue that the new generation is too focused on trends and social media, instead I find a lot of inspiration in many of the emerging artists as I do recognise it also takes a lot of time and effort - it’s a job. My side I just want to focus on the music and in what my position is in this scene - I don’t call it industry on purpose, it is a scene.”
What’s the next step for your career? Are there any exciting projects or goals you’re working towards?
“My goal would be maintaining the quality of my sessions, evolving the ‘Metamorfosi’ brand and establishing my labels. Now it’s time to work hard and put the pieces together.
“For the near future I would love to release a new album. I will start working on it as soon as possible, but for the next year I’ll just be releasing single tracks. When the time is right I’ll shift my focus to an album release, because when I produce an album, I really feel even more free than when I’m producing a solo track.”
“It is also a dream of mine to produce music that can be featured in movies, I have plans to start doing that part-time, but of course it is not always easy with the tour life.
it is what I was born to do and something I cannot live without. It keeps me alive! So you can imagine, when the pandemic hit, I felt lost and it’s something that I will never forget. The dance floor, the clubs, the festivals, the ravers, are my oxygen and my life energy.”
Finally, could you share a glimpse into how you see the future of electronic music and your role within it?
“It is hard to predict the future of electronic music as it is always changing, but one thing is clear: it is here to stay. My journey from the start of my DJ career to my musical endeavors has been driven by my passion. I am to continue to inspire the next generation, emphasizing the importance of dedication and hard work in creating memorable DJ sessions. I’m committed to supporting and drawing inspiration from what is next. At 36, I can honestly say that I plan on going for at least another two decades. I cannot predict the future, but I know that this is what I’ll be doing for the rest of my life.”
