When asked about his upcoming album, OGUZ was candid about his evolution as an artist. The man behind GOLDEN SZN is not the same per- son who stands before us today. His new album promises to showcase not just an evolution but an unexpected shift in direction.
“I’ve been reflecting a lot on my current taste and sound, how I’ve progressed and the diversity I bring now. I’m not just the guy who did GOLDEN SZN. Being versatile is everything to me. I want to pull something unexpected, because that’s who I am. I thrive on my passion and don’t want to be chained to one subgenre. Music should be limitless, and that’s exactly the story of my new album.”
This forward-thinking attitude comes through in the music he creates, and it’s evident that OGUZ sees himself not just as a producer, but as a crea- tor of worlds, unbound by genre constraints. His music, much like his life, is a series of unexpected twists, always pushing the boundaries of what can be done within techno.
CHALLENGING THE MAINSTREAM: STAYING TRUE TO HIMSELF
In an era where the mainstream often dictates trends, OGUZ’s refusal to compromise is refres- hing. He firmly believes that techno should remain a space for exploration, experimentation, and challenge.
“I never want to compromise my sound to fit into any trend. The pressure isn’t something I really focus on. I’d rather challenge listeners and push boundaries, even if it means going against what’s expected. Staying true to what feels right for me and not just following the crowd. If you take a look at my last two albums ENTER MY SIMULATION and DAM SQUARE DANCE TRAX LV.1 you will find out that I’m always thinking outside the box and looking to surprise my fans with different genres and different sounds.”
