LOS NORUEGOS DE OST & KJEX PRESENTAN SU ÁLBUM ‘SONGS FROM THE END OF THE WORLD’ EN SNICK SNACK MUSIC.
Norwegian duo Ost & Kjex make a much-an- ticipated return to Snick Snack Music this June. Run by themselves and long-term friends Trulz & Robin, the label welcomes Songs from the end of the world: a nine-track LP aiming straight for the dance floor, inspired by the sounds of their youth. Featuring guest vocals by their long-standing collaborators Viviana Vega aka Whalesharkattacks and Tracee Meyn. It acts as their first album together since 2015, marking another milestone event for the pairing.
“Songs from the end of the world is a love letter from the northernmost frontiers of club music and comment on the world’s current state of af- fairs. Inspired by the harsh times, we went back to our early influences such as industrial music, goth, wave, EBM, rave, classic house, and tech- no to create what we consider our most tech- noid release to date. With the choice between submitting to pressure or going with hope, we are headed for the neon lights! So, here are nine tracks we made with the dream of you dancing to it, this summer” said Ost & Kjex.
El dúo de Ost & Kjex hizo su triunfal y esperado re- greso a su sello Snick Snack Music a finales del mes de junio con un nuevo álbum. Trulz y Robin dieron la bienvenida a ‘Songs From The End Of The World’, un LP de nueve tracks que apuntan hacia la pista de baile y que se inspira en los sonidos de su juventud. Entre sus más grandes colaboradores encontramos a la cantante Viviana Vega, mejor conocida como “Whalessharkattacks” quien presentó sus agradables y sensuales vocales a los tracks ‘The Gallery’ y ‘Little Boxes’. También encontramos a Tracee Meyn. El ál- bum ha marcado un hito en el dúo noruego quienes desde 2015 no habían lanzado un álbum.
“Songs From The End OF The World” es una carta de amor que viene desde las fronteras septentrio- nales de la música club y un comentario acerca de la situación actual en el mundo’. Inspirado por tiempos difíciles, regresamos a nuestras influencias primarias como la música industrial, lo gótico, wave, EBM, rave y el house y techno clásico para crear lo que ambos consideramos nuestro lanzamiento más tecnoide a la fecha. Con la elección entre el sometimiento a la presión o ir por el camino de la esperanza, decidimos dirigirnos hacia las luces neón. Por lo que, aquí están nueve piezas que se elaboraron con el sueño de que ustedes las bailen en este verano” dicen Ost & Kjex.
