NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council, in accordance with the provisions of Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, propose to establish a Zebra crossing on Station Road, Whalley. The centre line of the crossing will be approximately 12 metres east of its junction with the centre line of Riddings Lane, Whalley.


NB the design of the crossing will include zig zag road markings on each side of the crossing and no parking will be allowed within the area marked by these lines.

4 Right to Refuse or Amend Advertisements 4.1 The Company reserves the right to refuse to pubEsh any advertisement il, in the Compan/s opinion, the advertisement Ia3s to cocffy with the requirements of Condtion 3.1 above or the refusal is required in the interest or reader protection, even if the adver­ tisement has been accepted or previously published. 42 The Company may taka any alteration it considers necessa^ or desirable in an acfver- teement indudng the use of standard abbreviations, or change the siting of an advertise­ ment in the relevant publication. 42 Ma3 order advertisements wtl not be accepted lor publication by the Company unless the Advertiser completes and returns to the Company a Mafl Order Guarantee Form, pro­ duced by the Newspaper Society, prior to the dea*» for publication of the advertisement 5 Requests for Insertion on Particular Oates In Particular Sections WhSst the Comparw win endeavour to comply with reasonable reexjests for an advertise­ ment to be insertedexi a particutai date or in a particular part or e<£t>on cri trie pubCcation.

12 The Advertiser1 means any person or company placing with the Company an order for the publication of an advertisement in any of the Compan/s newspapers, or other publica­ tions.


2 Rates 2.1 The rales charged for the insertion of advertisements shal be those set out in the Compan/s rale card in force at the time the order is placed. The rate card is subject to change at any time and may vary between Companies and pubTcations within the Johnston Press pic group of titles. Copies are available on request

4.1 Pre-paymert nay be required for any advertisement at the Con^an/s discretion. 42 Save as provided for under Clause 4.1 above,paymentshalbema(feforeadiadvef- tisement with* seven days of the date of the invoice, except that payment of advertise­ ments charged to an approved credit account shal be made no later than thirty days after invoice. Should the Advertiser be in breach of these terms, or of any contract with the Company, then the fuD amount in respect of al advertising published and al other amounts accruing from the Advertiser shal become due and payable. 4.3 The Company reserves the right to withdraw crerftfacSities from any Advertiser at the Comparr/s discretion subject to giving the Advertiser seven days written notice thereof, if practicable, or forthwith upon the issue of any Court proceeding against the Advertiser. 4.4 AD payments must be accompanied by the remittance advice issued by the Company. 45 Any query in respect of an invoice must be brought to the attention ol the Coniany within seven days of its issue. 5 Late Payments


5.1 The Company shaD be entitled to charge interest on a! sums due at a rate of 2% above the base rat© for the time being of Lloyds Bank Linvted unta paymwt is recerved, after as weS as before any judgment is obtained. 52 The Company shaS be entitled to add to any sums due any reasonable costs and expenses (induing administrative costs) incurred by the Company in obtaining payment thereof on an indemnity basis. 53 The Company shal be entitled to charge the Advertiser £15.00 in respect of any cheque tendered which is not met upon presentation (and to vary this charge at any time without notice).
