Bank Holiday attractions


THERE is a packed week­ end of activity in the Rib- ble Valley this Bank Holi­ day.


One of the main events


taking place this weekend is the annual Chipping Show. The showground will be bustling with a dog show,


baby show, children’s sports, fell race, vintage sec­ tion and handicrafts, as well as horse, ponies and Shetlands. The hounds and whips of


the Holcombe Hunt will also be entertaining the crowds, as will members of


Darwen’s St James’ march­ ing band. Another of the weekend’s main attractions will be Clitheroe Garden Club’s annual show which will take place at St James’s School in Greenacre Street, on Saturday. An auction of the produce on display will start at 4-15 p.m. The Clitheroe Nat­
