My stay in Asia was a big determining factor in how I paint today. In the U.S., I did a workshop in pastel portraits with Daniel Green. I discovered early
on that I didn’t have the patience for this. I studied etching at the Silvermine School of Art in Connecticut. I loved this but the technique was too dangerous, unless you had the safety features that a school environment could give you. I also did some mono-prints and worked with inks.
