Here we had to turn a narrow room, with a ton of windows, into a usable relaxing space. Because of budget concerns, we decided to keep the existing floor; however, we painted the walls and ceiling in a warm gray color. A blue and white area rug was chosen to bring color into the room. The room was given a coastal vibe to bring the pool view into the space. Due to the
narrow width, we chose to use four-barrel chairs. They are honey-colored wicker with gray cushions. A pair of stone stools are used between each chair to place a drink. Two accent stools provide a unique blend of casual and coastal. They can be used as seating or as a footrest. At the end of the room, we placed a four-door cabinet to ground the space and provide storage. The crisp and modern look creates a light and airy feel. Above the cabinet, we hung an
embellished giclee on canvas with silver leaf accents and bold shades of blue. The lamps are in an indigo blue glaze with a white linen shade to complete the look. The dated ceiling fan was replaced with a modern ceiling fan in a graphite steel finish. Blue and white accessories bring calm into the area. A live Fig Leaf plant completes the look.
