The design element in this room needed a transformation from a small girl’s room full of color to suit an older teenage boy and make this bedroom a male suite. We combined blue, black, and white to build the design around. We wanted to keep the room open and airy, so we kept the walls white but popped color to make the space stand out more in specific areas such as the tray ceiling, molding and trim; adding blue and black in those areas. We designed this simple yet statement wall design on the feature wall; that angled from one end to the other, with white on the top and black on the bottom. We then added a blue line in the middle to separate the colors. In addition, we added a clean, sleek licorice king bed in front of the feature wall. We
then added a lustrous blue and silver chest with silver rings, alongside the bed, to compliment the colors in the space. We also added a dresser that complemented the bed with clean lines in a licorice finish. A huge abstract artwork was hung on the wall adjacent to the bed filled with the color pallet of the room. The blue and silver upholstered bench was placed in front of his bed. The canopy chandelier was a unique touch in the space, sure to light up the room. The window treatments also added a masculine touch with a geometric graphite fabric
and smooth matte black hardware. In the room was a smaller space that served as his game room. We added lighting, a wall decal and paint to unify the space in this area.
