The goal was to create an entertainment space from an unfinished basement space. Our client is an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and wanted his entertainment space to reflect his passion.
First, we laid out the walls for the entire unfinished basement. The "Cowboy Room"
was located at the back of the floor plan between the game room and hair salon. In the back of the space was a fortified area we claimed as a safe room. We wanted to close off this space, so our client would not be disturbed and not
disturb the girls’ bedrooms on one side of the basement. A new entrance was created by scaling down a bathroom and creating a hallway to give access to this room without going through the girls’ area. A garage door was also removed and glamorous sliding doors replaced it for access to the bottom driveway. We wanted to maintain as much height as possible while still creating a special ceiling
treatment. We chose to paint the walls in silver metallic paint and the trim in navy blue, thus making the team's color of navy blue and silver. We added a marble look porcelain tile to the center on the TV wall and created boxes with molding and covered in a navy textured wallcovering. We painted horizontal stripes streaming around the room on the other three walls.
