The challenge was to design a bathroom for three girls from the ground up in an unfinished basement. We had to focus on the basement layout to include three bedrooms and a salon area, so finding space to design a bathroom was crucial. After finding the right location and creating the floorplan and elevations, it was time to put it all together. The colors used in the space included gold tones, white, gray, and cream. We started by finding wallpaper to complement the space. The wallpaper's giant
honeycomb-shaped design added a touch of gold to compliment the mirror, vanity lights, shower hardware, faucets, pulls, and accessories in the space. Then followed, combining the elements that connected the area with the accent tones such as the shower tiles, flooring, mirrors and lighting. The gorgeous countertops with a hint of gray and gold connected the flooring in the
space. The accessories and pulls added the finishing touch of elegance and glam to complete the room. We wanted the space to have a timeless feel for the girls’ bathroom. Creating a design that would last the test of time was critical.
