We have included recent and some historical “Canadian” images as well. There are images with children, animals and snowy streetscapes, as well as winter wonderlands. A strange affinity between art and winter seems to exist. Maybe it is our memory of the ice age, passed down through generations or because the first pictorial artists worked in caves while blizzards howled outside.
